An Optimal Transport View on Schrödinger’s Equation

چکیده
We show that the Schrödinger equation is a lift of Newton’s third law of motion ∇μ̇ μ̇ = −∇WF (μ) on the space of probability measures, where derivatives are taken w.r.t. the Wasserstein Riemannian metric. Here the potential μ → F (μ) is the sum of the total classical potential energy 〈V, μ〉 of the extended system and its Fisher information ~2 8 ∫ |∇ ln μ|2dμ. The precise relation is established via a well known (’Madelung’) transform which is shown to be a symplectic submersion of the standard symplectic structure of complex valued functions into the canonical symplectic space over the Wasserstein space. All computations are conducted in the framework of Otto’s formal Riemannian calculus for optimal transportation of probability measures.

The Neutrosophic Logic View to Schrödinger’s Cat Paradox
As already known, Schrödinger equation is the most used equation to describe non-relativistic quantum systems. Its relativistic version was developed by Klein-Gordon and Dirac, but Schrödinger equation has wide applicability in particular because it resembles classical wave dynamics. For introduction to non-relativistic quantum mechanics, see [1]. Schrödinger equation begins with definition of ...
متن کاملA viscosity solution approach to the infinite dimensional HJB related to boundary control problem in transport equation
The paper concerns the infinite dimensional Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation related to optimal control problem regulated by a transport equation with boundary control. A suitable viscosity solution approach is needed in view of the presence of the unbounded control-related term in the Hilbertian state equation. An existence-and-uniqueness result is obtained.

The paper concerns with the infinite dimensional Hamilton-JacobiBellman equation related to optimal control problem regulated by a linear transport equation with boundary control. A suitable viscosity solution approach is needed in view of the presence of the unbounded controlrelated term in the state equation in Hilbert setting. An existence-anduniqueness result is obtained.
متن کاملEnergy Growth in Schrödinger’s Equation with Markovian Forcing
Abstract. Schrödinger’s equation is considered on a one-dimensional torus with time dependent potential v(θ, t) = λV (θ)X(t) where V (θ) is an even trigonometric polynomial and X(t) is a stationary Markov process. It is shown that when the coupling constant λ is sufficiently small, the average kinetic energy grows as the square-root of time. More generally, the Hs norm of the wave function is s...
متن کاملAnalytical Solutions for Spatially Variable Transport-Dispersion of Non-Conservative Pollutants
Analytical solutions have been obtained for both conservative and non-conservative forms of one-dimensional transport and transport-dispersion equations applicable for pollution as a result of a non-conservative pollutant-disposal in an open channel with linear spatially varying transport velocity and nonlinear spatially varying dispersion coefficient on account of a steady unpolluted lateral i...
